Our Promise to You

The 7-Year Workmanship Warranty.

Seven years of coverage on every WORKS by JD project. Not one year, like most contractors offer. Seven. Because we build work we're proud to put our name on — for a long time.

7 Years — All Labor CS-91245 · HIC-178604 Backed Since 2001
Why 7 Years?

The industry does one year. We do seven.

The standard 1-year contractor warranty is an industry minimum — it barely covers the time it takes for workmanship issues to surface. Most failures in a renovation happen in years two through five, when grout cracks, tile lifts, cabinetry shifts, or waterproofing fails. A 1-year warranty doesn't cover any of that.

We offer 7 years because we know the failures won't come. We've been building in Massachusetts since 2001, and we build to last — not to the minimum. The 7-Year Warranty isn't a marketing claim. It's the economic outcome of building correctly the first time.

Jesse DeBenedictis has four NARI certifications, including CKBR and CRPM — the most rigorous credentials in the remodeling industry. Those certifications require peer review of completed projects. You don't get them and then build sloppy work.

Coverage Details

What the warranty covers.

Covered by WORKS — 7 Years
  • All structural work (framing, subfloor, load-bearing modifications)
  • Tile installation — floors, walls, backsplash
  • Cabinetry and millwork installation
  • Plumbing installation and connections
  • Electrical installation and connections
  • Waterproofing membrane installation
  • Flooring installation — hardwood, LVP, stone
  • Trim and finish carpentry
  • Window and door installation
  • Exterior construction and cladding
  • All other WORKS-provided labor
Not Covered by WORKS

These items are not covered by the WORKS workmanship warranty — but they're either covered by manufacturer warranties or fall outside of construction liability:

  • Product and material manufacturer defects (covered by manufacturer warranty, registered by WORKS)
  • Damage caused by homeowner negligence or misuse
  • Natural disaster, flooding, fire, or acts of God
  • Modifications made to completed work by others
Manufacturer Warranty Note

WORKS registers all product manufacturer warranties at project close and manages them on your behalf. If a product fails — a Brizo faucet, a Kohler tub, a Marvin window — we coordinate the warranty claim with the manufacturer, at no cost to you.
